Just like humans, horse, dogs and other animals can suffer from back, neck, pelvic and musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction and could therefore benefit from McTimoney treatment to reduce/remove pain, restore proper functioning and optimise performance.

The McTimoney technique is an extremely gentle, non-invasive and holistic treatment. It realigns and rebalances the animals musculoskeletal system. This is achieved by manipulating any joints that are misaligned throughout the whole body, with a particular focus on the spine and pelvis. McTimoney treatment helps to not only restore but also to maintain overall health, soundness and performance.

Most animals readily accept the treatment and as there are no anaesthetics or drugs required it is a treatment that is favoured by many owners.

The McTimoney MSc in Animal Manipulation is the only validated course in Europe teaching techniques for adjusting animals, having successfully completed the course Jonelle is therefore qualified to offer animal manipulative therapy based on the original McTimoney technique.

McTimoney practitioners are trained to work closely with your vet to ensure that your animal receives the best care possible. Before treating your animal approval must be sought from your veterinary surgeon to ensure the treatment complies with the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966). The majority of vets are aware of the benefits of McTimoney treatment for animal and will readily give their permission for your animal to be treated. Most vets are happy to give permission for treatment over the phone and Jonelle is more than happy to speak to your vet on your behalf if you would prefer.
